The Importance of Gluten-Free Ingredients

 

Food is something we all need and up until recently, local supermarkets and food retailers didn’t actively cater for those with dietary needs. It wasn’t considered something that the masses wanted but ever since we’ve become more aware about our health and what we put into our bodies, more of us are seeking an alternative when it comes to our diet. Now, you’ll find that the choices for gluten-free options are a lot greater than before, including our Italian deli online.

In fact, a lot more of us have an intolerance to gluten and there are many theories as to why that might be. An example of such is that we’re digesting too much food and drink that causes an imbalance to our gut flora. This imbalance is a common lead to gluten intolerance. Others have suggested that in fact, this spike is due to those who don’t actually need gluten-free products but are seeing it as a healthier alternative to their normal diet.

Whatever the case may be, the demand for gluten-free options is not going away, so here at Diforti we wanted to be inclusive, and cater to anyone who requires these ingredients for a better gut or for those just wishing to try something new.

These are traditional Italian pastries, originating from the island of Sicily and are traditionally enjoyed with a hot beverage.
