Goats cheese can come in a few different varieties including hard or soft, young or aged. A young goats cheese tends to be soft, spreadable and tangy and an aged goats cheese will be chalky, crumbly and earthy. Goats cheese has a high level of vitamin A which is also what makes it a lot whiter than most other cheeses. It is also well known for its distinctive flavour and smell and this comes from the high level of fatty acids found in goats cheese compared to that of cheese made from cows milk. This goats cheese is made with 100% goats milk and comes in a large log piece weighing around 1kg. Works well on salads or small tartlets as party food and also melted on top of pizzas.
